Rivergy’s hydrokinetic energy extraction technology uses an axial flow turbine that is based on a jet engine turbine design. The ground breaking aspect of Rivergy’s approach is how multiple turbine modules
can be connected together like building blocks to increase the effective area of the turbine array. This allows the turbine array to be configured to harness energy from shallow, narrow, deep or wide rivers, providing unprecedented new access to clean hydropower. Power from each turbine in the array is mechanically transferred to a single generator module by gearing the turbine rotors together, thus reducing the cost and complexity of the system.
